The Bolt 6 RX Monitor Module is a real-time wireless video receiver that supports 4K video with Teradek’s patented Zero-Delay technology, now with less interference using the newly opened 6GHz wireless frequency. This Receiver Monitor Module integrates directly with the SmallHD Smart 7 Monitor Series. Receive color-accurate, 4K HDR videos in under 0.001 seconds.
The Bolt 6 Receiver Monitor Module easily attaches to the back of SmallHD’s Cine 7, 702 Touch, and Indie 7 Smart Monitors. With direct integration, the Bolt 6 and Smart monitor are able to share power and video, allowing you to reduce the amount of cables on set.
Key features of the Bolt 6 RX Monitor Module include range options designed for a variety of production needs, fast reconnection times, intuitive and easy setup with the Bolt Manager App for iOS or Android, and consistent, stable connectivity. The Bolt 6 series utilizes the 6GHz band to give users better image quality and reduced interference. And when used in high-traffic areas, 6GHz wireless frequency gives Bolt 6 users more options for frequency adjustments with 12 new channels. Bolt 6 can also pass metadata, timecode, and start/stop flags from most camera manufacturers.
With the Bolt 6 Monitor Module, Wireless Camera-Control is also made possible, because it integrates directly into SmallHD Smart Monitors. Bolt 6 also offers new tools for high-end users to have better visibility over their connections and signals, adding confidence to the workflow no matter how challenging the environment.
The Bolt 6 RX Monitor Module is cross-compatible with the entire Bolt 4K Series – including Bolt 4K, Bolt 4K LT, and the Bolt 4K Monitor Modules – giving you the option to expand your workflow requirements. Link up to 6 receivers to one transmitter, or unlimited receivers when used in Broadcast Mode (available on MAX models).
Bolt 6 Receiver Monitor Module offers two line-of-sight options: 750 ft., and 1500 ft. Additionally, you can upgrade your set to include Gold or V-Mount Battery plates.
About 6GHz
Wifi routers, cell phones, IOT devices, and competitor wireless video systems are among the many devices that use the 5GHz frequency to communicate wirelessly, making it a highly crowded space where you’ll likely encounter frequent interference and even video dropouts. Bolt 6 uses the newly opened 6GHz wireless frequency for a dramatically quieter wireless environment (though it can still be set up in 5GHz Mode for backwards compatibility). In 6GHz Mode, Bolt 6 users will access faster connections and less interference for a better wireless experience. 6GHz frequency is now available in the US and Canada under UNII-5 government specifications. More countries will open the 6GHz frequency in 2023.
