The Datavideo SE-4000 is a professional 4K live production switcher designed for broadcast, AV, hybrid events, corporate productions, education, and live streaming applications. Supporting broadcast-grade UHD 4K at 50/60P, the switcher delivers high-performance live video production with extensive connectivity, advanced processing capabilities, and an intuitive control interface.
The switcher operates as an 8-channel UHD 4K50/60P production system and can also function as a 12-channel UHD 4K29/30P switcher, providing additional flexibility for productions requiring a larger number of video sources. Equipped with both 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 interfaces, the SE-4000 accommodates a wide variety of professional cameras, computers, media players, and other video sources while maintaining broadcast-quality image performance.
A built-in 5-inch full-colour touchscreen provides direct access to system settings, effects, and production tools without requiring an external computer or software application. Combined with dedicated source selection buttons and a one-button-one-function workflow, the interface enables fast and reliable operation during demanding live productions.
The SE-4000 incorporates a comprehensive set of professional production features, including AUX routing, XPT functionality, chroma key, luma key, linear key, downstream keying, Picture-in-Picture effects, still image storage, logo insertion, wipe transitions, and virtual set support. Two fully adjustable PIP windows can be displayed simultaneously, while up to 250 still images can be stored for use during production.
Built-in scaling technology automatically converts HD and 4K signals, allowing different video formats to be mixed within the same production without requiring external converters. This flexibility simplifies workflow integration and makes the switcher suitable for both HD and UHD production environments.
Audio management is equally comprehensive, with integrated audio mixing capabilities and professional audio delay controls to maintain precise audio-to-video synchronization. Multiple multiview layouts provide efficient monitoring of sources and outputs, helping operators maintain complete control throughout a live production.
Designed for installation in standard 19-inch racks, the SE-4000 integrates easily into fixed installations, mobile production systems, and broadcast environments.
