The Datavideo HBT-12 is a professional HDBaseT receiver designed to simplify the transmission of video, power, and control signals over a single Ethernet cable. Developed for broadcast, AV, education, and live production environments, it enables efficient long-distance connectivity while reducing cabling complexity and installation costs.
The receiver accepts HDBaseT signals and delivers video through its HDMI output, supporting resolutions up to 4K. By combining video, control, and power transmission within a single cable infrastructure, the HBT-12 helps create clean and streamlined production workflows for fixed installations and mobile production systems alike.
Supporting IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ technology, the HBT-12 can provide power to compatible transmitting devices through the HDBaseT connection when a 56V power supply is connected to the receiver. This eliminates the need for separate power supplies at the remote device location and simplifies system deployment.
The HBT-12 includes DVIP network connectivity and RS-232/RS-422 control interfaces, allowing integration with Datavideo camera controllers and control systems. This enables remote camera operation and system management over long distances, making the unit suitable for professional PTZ camera and production workflows.
For installations requiring extended cable runs, the HBT-12 offers selectable operating modes. It supports 4K video transmission over distances of up to 70 metres, while a long-reach mode allows transmission distances of up to 120 metres when operating at resolutions up to 1080p. This flexibility enables the receiver to adapt to different installation requirements without additional infrastructure.
Designed for reliable professional operation, the HBT-12 provides uncompressed signal transmission with virtually zero latency, ensuring high image quality and responsive control performance. Its compact design and versatile connectivity make it a practical solution for integrating HDBaseT technology into modern broadcast and AV systems.
