The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 is a professional-grade live production camera that combines cinematic imaging with advanced broadcast connectivity in a compact, lightweight design. Built for SDI-based workflows, it features a 4K sensor with 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO up to 25,600, delivering exceptional low-light performance and rich color fidelity even in challenging lighting conditions.
Equipped with a bright 7-inch HDR touchscreen viewfinder, the camera offers intuitive control and precise framing. It supports Ultra HD resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 fps and records directly to USB-C external drives using Blackmagic RAW in multiple compression ratios and quality settings. The active Micro Four Thirds (MFT) lens mount allows remote control of iris, focus, and zoom on compatible lenses, with optional focus and zoom demand accessories for tripod-mounted operation.
Connectivity includes 12G-SDI output and program return input with embedded talkback, tally, and camera control, as well as HDMI 2.0 output with similar control features. The 10G Ethernet port enables a full SMPTE-style workflow over a single cable, including power, video, audio, and control. Additional ports include dual USB-C, XLR audio with phantom power, 5-pin XLR talkback, and 3.5mm headphone and mic inputs.
The camera supports direct live streaming via RTMP over Ethernet or USB-C mobile tethering, and includes web-based media management, FTP access, and SMB file sharing. It is compatible with ATEM switchers and supports remote control via SDI, HDMI, Ethernet, and REST API. The carbon fiber reinforced polycarbonate body ensures durability and portability, while the integrated tally lights and customizable function buttons enhance usability in dynamic production environments.
