The front panel layout closely mirrors classic broadcast designs, featuring clearly labelled transport buttons, timecode display and deck status indicators. A large metal jog and shuttle wheel with electronic clutch allows precise frame accurate navigation, fast shuttling and smooth clip positioning. This physical feedback makes long sessions more comfortable and reduces the learning curve for operators transitioning from tape based systems.
A powerful built in editor enables automated deck to deck ingest workflows. Using familiar in and out point editing, operators can control both a legacy playback deck and the recorder from the same panel. Once edit points are set, the controller automatically cues and plays the source machine while recording the selected section. This approach dramatically simplifies the digitisation of tape libraries and helps preserve valuable archive material.
The internal control router allows simultaneous management of up to eight separate devices using industry standard RS‑422 connections. Recorder and player selection buttons make it easy to switch between machines, enabling complex multi deck workflows from a single surface. Compatibility has been tested with a wide range of broadcast decks, including one inch C format, Betacam SP and Digital Betacam models, ensuring seamless integration into existing facilities.
