The Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio HD Mini is a compact broadcast deck designed for professional recording and playback in SD and HD formats up to 1080p60. Built in the Teranex Mini form factor, it fits easily into tight spaces and can be rack-mounted using the Teranex Mini Rack Shelf, allowing up to three units in a single rack slot.
It features 3G-SDI input and output, HDMI output, dual SD card slots for continuous recording, and USB-C for external disk recording or webcam output. The unit supports popular codecs including H.264, Apple ProRes, and DNxHD, with audio recorded in PCM or AAC formats. Integrated timecode and reference generators allow for ISO recording and syncing across multiple units.
The front panel includes transport controls and a compact LCD display for status feedback. Power options include both AC and DC inputs, making it suitable for studio and mobile use. The HyperDeck Studio HD Mini is compatible with Blackmagic OS, offering fast access to settings and smooth operation. It can be controlled remotely via Ethernet using the HyperDeck Ethernet Protocol or integrated into larger systems with RS-422.
