The Blackmagic Cloud Pod is a compact network storage interface that transforms any USB-C disk into high-speed shared storage. Designed for film, television, and collaborative post-production workflows, it features a 10G Ethernet port for extremely fast file access, even with multiple users connected. This makes it ideal for sharing camera media across editing, color grading, audio, and VFX teams.
The device supports Blackmagic Cloud sync, enabling global file distribution via Dropbox, Google Drive, or Blackmagic Cloud. Editors in different locations can work with synchronized media, ensuring everyone has access to the latest files without manual transfers. The Cloud Pod supports both one-way and bi-directional sync, allowing flexible control over how files are mirrored across locations.
It includes two USB-C ports for connecting external disks, an HDMI output for real-time monitoring, and a status light for disk activity. The HDMI output displays a live dashboard with storage maps, sync status, user activity, and network performance graphs. The unit is powered via a 12V DC input and includes international adapters for global use.
With support for up to 50 simultaneous SMB connections, the Cloud Pod integrates seamlessly into professional environments. It is compatible with ExFAT and HFS+ file systems and includes free configuration software for macOS and Windows. The device operates quietly and is highly portable, making it suitable for both studio and on-location use.
