DeckLink IP/SDI HD is a professional hybrid interface designed for broadcasters transitioning between traditional SDI infrastructures and SMPTE 2110 IP‑based production environments. It combines two channels of capture and two channels of playback over 10G Ethernet with integrated 3G‑SDI connectivity, allowing simultaneous operation in both domains. This makes it an ideal solution for studios building flexible, scalable and future‑ready workflows without abandoning established SDI pipelines.
The card supports all major HD formats including 720p, 1080i and 1080p up to 60 frames per second, ensuring smooth integration into mixed‑format production environments. It conforms to SMPTE 2110 standards for uncompressed video, synchronized audio and ancillary data transport, ensuring precise timing and predictable performance in distributed IP systems. PTP‑based synchronization allows frame‑accurate alignment across networked devices, while multicast support provides efficient distribution of video, audio and metadata to multiple destinations without adding unnecessary network load.
DeckLink IP/SDI HD offers secure IP video handling by isolating all incoming streams through dedicated frame buffers, functioning as a hardware‑level firewall that prevents unauthorized network traffic from reaching the host workstation. It supports a broad range of codecs including Apple ProRes, DNxHD, DNxHR, DPX, AVC‑Intra, XDCAM, HEVC and a full selection of uncompressed formats up to 10‑bit 4:4:4. Multi‑channel embedded audio is supported at 48 kHz and 24‑bit, enabling complete integration with professional broadcast audio systems.
With PCI Express connectivity and compatibility across macOS, Windows and Linux systems, the card installs easily into production servers, automation systems, editing stations and real‑time processing nodes. Included software such as Media Express, LiveKey, Disk Speed Test and Desktop Video Utility provides immediate tools for capture, playback, graphics keying and performance diagnostics.
