The Blackmagic ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 is a powerful live production switcher designed for advanced streaming, broadcast and multicamera workflows. It features eight HDMI inputs, each supporting improved camera signals from professional and consumer cameras, allowing seamless switching in complex multi‑angle productions. With its enhanced streaming engine, the G2 model provides direct streaming via Ethernet or mobile 4G/5G tethering, delivering exceptionally stable, high‑quality live broadcasts without requiring external encoders.
A key advantage of the Extreme ISO G2 is its full‑scale ISO recording workflow. The switcher can record every input as individual files while simultaneously creating a DaVinci Resolve project that includes the live switch, transitions and graphics. This enables complete reconstruction, correction or re‑editing of the entire event in post‑production. The built‑in hardware encoder supports professional H.264 and H.265 recording formats, including proxy files for cloud workflows.
The device features two independent HDMI outputs that can be used for multiview monitoring, program feeds or external displays. The multiview interface provides real‑time previews of all sources, audio meters, recording status, media indicators and streaming information. Four upstream chroma keyers unlock advanced virtual set workflows, allowing multiple green‑screen sources at the same time. SuperSource delivers a multilayer compositing engine with four picture‑in‑picture boxes and a background layer, ideal for interviews, panel shows and streaming presentations.
With two USB‑C ports, the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 can function as a webcam source for conferencing software while simultaneously recording or linking to external storage. The audio section includes Fairlight processing with parametric EQ, compression, limiting, gating and monitoring tools. Built‑in media storage allows instant playback of graphics, lower thirds and animated stingers.
