These outputs can be independently routed across switchers, routers or monitors, allowing the same source to appear in multiple destinations without the need for additional distribution hardware. Support for Level A and Level B 3G‑SDI formats ensures compatibility with a wide variety of professional equipment, enabling seamless integration into both modern and legacy environments. The converter works with a wide range of HD and film frame rates, including 1080p24, 1080p47.95 and 1080p48, making it suitable not only for broadcast but also for digital cinema applications.

Image quality remains uncompromised through 4:2:2 YUV processing and precise signal handling that conforms to SMPTE standards. Automatic format detection ensures correct operation even when sources change resolution or frame rate, eliminating the need for constant adjustment during fast paced productions. The HDMI input cannot be used to capture copy protected content, maintaining compliance with digital rights protections. Using the free software utility for macOS or Windows, operators can configure SDI level settings and apply firmware updates through the USB‑C port.

This PSU‑included version provides a universal +5V power supply with international adapters, offering dependable power delivery for long‑duration shoots and broadcast environments where USB power may be insufficient or unavailable. The converter also supports power over USB‑C when required, making it highly flexible for mobile kits and on‑location work.
