This rack‑mount monitoring converter is designed for broadcast and live production environments that require high‑quality viewing of both 12G‑SDI and SMPTE ST 2110 IP sources on HDMI displays. It combines traditional baseband connectivity with modern IP workflows in a single device, making it ideal for control rooms, technical monitoring positions and mobile production systems that are transitioning toward IP‑based infrastructures. The design focuses on accuracy, reliability and operational clarity for critical monitoring tasks. 
The unit accepts either a 12G‑SDI signal or a SMPTE ST 2110 IP stream and converts it directly to HDMI. All common SD, HD, 2K, Ultra HD and DCI 4K formats up to 2160p60 are supported, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of cameras, switchers and routers. For precise display matching, an integrated 3D LUT system allows HDMI monitors to be calibrated accurately, which is essential in broadcast environments where colour consistency and confidence monitoring are required.
Audio handling is comprehensive and professional. Up to 16 channels of embedded audio are supported on both SDI and IP inputs, while HDMI output carries up to 8 embedded channels. In addition, two balanced analog audio outputs on XLR connectors are provided with adjustable gain and delay, allowing direct connection to professional monitoring speakers. A built‑in front‑panel speaker and a 6.35 mm headphone output enable quick local audio checks without additional equipment. 
A single 10 Gb Ethernet connection is used for SMPTE ST 2110 video, audio and ancillary data, as well as configuration and firmware updates. When handling high‑frame‑rate Ultra HD signals at 2160p59.94 or 2160p60, the built‑in Blackmagic IP10 codec is used to efficiently transport the signal over a 10 Gb IP network while maintaining visual quality. A USB‑C connection adds webcam output capability up to 1080p60, enabling easy integration with computers for streaming, conferencing or capture workflows. 
The front panel includes an LCD display that shows video, audio meters and system menus, giving engineers immediate visual confirmation of signal status. Full ancillary data support, including timecode and closed captions, ensures that all critical broadcast metadata is preserved throughout the monitoring chain.
