Blackmagic Media Player 10G is an advanced, high performance capture and playback interface designed for professional broadcast, live production and post production environments. Engineered to integrate seamlessly with Thunderbolt workstations, it combines dual 12G SDI fill and key outputs, a 12G SDI capture input and dedicated loop, monitoring and extended desktop SDI outputs. This makes it a powerful real time playout engine for live switchers, master control rooms, broadcast graphics pipelines and replay systems that require absolute reliability and accuracy.
With its built in 10G Ethernet interface, the Media Player 10G allows direct high speed access to network storage, enabling smooth playback of high bandwidth files including 10 bit and 12 bit high dynamic range formats without stressing local system resources. This also allows DaVinci Resolve to operate as a full media player and replay platform, delivering ultra fast clip browsing, instant stinger insertion and precise fill and key playback for live production environments. Integrated HDMI extended desktop and monitoring outputs give producers and operators flexible options for previewing timelines, browsing media pools or feeding confidence monitors.
The device provides embedded audio across both SDI and HDMI paths, along with professional balanced analog XLR outputs and a dedicated headphone jack for direct monitoring. RS 422 deck control enables machine accurate ingest or automated playout, making it suitable for command driven broadcast workflows. The Thunderbolt 3 connection simplifies system configuration by carrying data, video, audio and computer power over a single cable, enabling clutter free setups even in mobile production systems.
With support for a wide spectrum of industry formats such as ProRes, DNxHR, DNxHD, DPX, HEVC, AVC Intra, XDCAM and uncompressed 8 bit, 10 bit and 12 bit video, the Media Player 10G integrates effortlessly into editorial, finishing, graphics and automation environments.
