The Datavideo PTC-285 is a professional 4K auto-tracking PTZ camera designed for live production, corporate presentations, education, houses of worship, and broadcast applications. Featuring a high-quality 1/2.8" Sony CMOS sensor, the camera delivers Ultra HD video at up to 2160p50/60 while providing excellent image quality and reliable performance in a variety of lighting conditions. The integrated 12x optical zoom lens allows operators to capture detailed close-ups as well as wider scene coverage with ease.
Built-in AI auto-tracking technology enables the camera to automatically follow a selected subject without requiring constant operator intervention. Users can quickly switch between full-body, half-body, and close-up framing, while advanced tracking functions help maintain accurate subject positioning. Custom tracking capabilities allow a specific individual to be designated as the tracking target, minimizing interference from other people or moving objects within the scene.
The PTC-285 supports simultaneous HDMI 2.0, 3G-SDI, and IP video outputs, making it suitable for a wide range of production workflows. Dual-stream functionality enables direct streaming to multiple destinations, while support for RTSP and RTMPS protocols simplifies integration with streaming platforms and cloud-based services.
For system integration and remote operation, the camera supports RS-422, Datavideo DVIP, VISCA over IP, ONVIF Profile S, and integrated NDI functionality. Operators can control camera movement, presets, image settings, and monitoring through Datavideo hardware controllers, web-based interfaces, or the PTZ View Assist application.
Advanced image processing technologies, including 3D noise reduction, help maintain image clarity in low-light environments. Intelligent PTZ speed adaptation and an S-shaped motion curve provide smooth and natural camera movements, enhancing the viewing experience during live productions. Power over Ethernet (PoE) support further simplifies installation by allowing power, control, video, and network connectivity to be delivered through a single Ethernet cable.
