The Recorder 3G operates over Thunderbolt 3, ensuring extremely low latency and the bandwidth required for high‑precision 10‑bit 4:2:2 or RGB 4:4:4 capture. Its SDI input supports 8‑, 10‑ and 12‑bit RGB up to 1080p30 as well as 8‑ and 10‑bit YUV across all formats, delivering exceptional color accuracy and clean gradients—ideal for chroma keying, VFX capture, mobile monitoring and high‑end streaming pipelines. Embedded audio is supported through both SDI and HDMI, enabling synchronized ingest of up to 16 SDI channels or 8 HDMI channels without external converters.
UltraStudio Recorder 3G supports a wide collection of industry‑standard codecs including ProRes, DNxHD, DNxHR, XDCAM, AVC‑Intra, DPX and HEVC, as well as both 8‑bit and 10‑bit uncompressed formats. This ensures seamless integration with editing, grading, streaming and recording software on macOS, Windows and Linux.
