The Sennheiser HME 46 is an ultra-lightweight professional broadcast headset designed for air traffic control, intercom systems, and other critical communication environments. Featuring an open headphone design with a patented two-piece automatic headband, it offers exceptional comfort for extended wear during long shifts.

The headset integrates a pre-polarized condenser microphone with an omni-directional pickup pattern, ensuring natural, crystal-clear speech transmission even in noisy surroundings. Its stereo earphones deliver precise audio reproduction across a frequency range of 16 Hz to 20 kHz, while the microphone covers 40 Hz to 18 kHz for outstanding intelligibility. ActiveGard™ technology (available in certain variants) protects against acoustic bursts, safeguarding hearing without compromising clarity.

The flip-away earcup enables single-sided listening, and the flexible boom arm can be positioned on either side for maximum convenience. With a maximum sound pressure level of 123 dB SPL, ultra-low distortion (<0.1% THD), and rugged yet lightweight construction (approx. 160 g), the HME 46 combines durability, reliability, and comfort for demanding professional applications.
