The Sony Basic Cage is a compact and lightweight camera cage for the mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras Sony Alpha 7 III, Alpha 7R III und Alpha 9. The camera is attached to the cage via a 1/4"-20 screw and holds it securely in position via the strap eyelets. The attached hand strap in combination with a separately available side handle, such as the Zacuto Tactical Handle or Zacuto Zarn, makes working with the camera comfortable. For attaching additional accessories, the cage has numerous 1/4"-20 threads and a piece of Z-Rail. There are two 1/4"-20 and one 3/8"-16 threads at the bottom for mounting the camera cage on a tripod plate. A built-in Arca-Swiss compatible plate allows it to be mounted on an Arca-Swiss compatible baseplate, such as the ACT Baseplate or ACT Mounting Plate by Zacuto, which allows the camera cage to be used as a shoulder rig.
